Asian Style Chicken Wings

Perfect party pleaser! A sure winner for any celebration or dinner party. These sweet, sticky, tangy and spicy wings are delicious and easy to make.

Ingredients 

1kg chicken wings

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper

2 tbsp cornflour

1 tsp baking powder

Spring onions for garnish

Sauce

5 tbsp dark soy sauce

1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce

2 tbsp honey

1 tbsp brown sugar

2 tbsp sriracha sauce

1 tsp oil

1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

4 cloves garlic, minced or grated

1 tbsp of freshly grated ginger


Method

1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

2. Pat dry the wings with paper towel ensuring excess moisture is removed.

3. Add the salt, black pepper, cornflour and baking powder. Stir and coat the wings well.

4. Place the wings on a wired tray, face side up and bake for 25-30 mins. Turn the wings half way through.

5. In a small pot, add all the ingredients for the sauce. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5-10 mins.

6. Place the wings in a large bowl. Pour the sauce over and toss well coating all the wing in the sauce.

7. Place on a plater. Garnish with spring onions and serve.

Enjoy hot or cold.
